The DX25Z-7 is Develon’s latest addition to its compact line-up, designed to bridge the gap between ultra-mini and mid-range excavators. It’s compact enough to be easily transported – even on a trailer with multiple attachments – yet powerful enough to handle the demands of contractors, rental fleets and plant hire firms.

Performance Meets Practicality

At just under 2.7 tonnes (2691kg), the DX25Z-7 is powered by a Kubota D1305 Stage V-compliant engine, delivering 18.5kW (25hp) at 2600 rpm. It’s an efficient and reliable performer, especially in tight-access environments or when working on transport-sensitive sites.

The 2030mm boom and 1300mm arm provide a balanced digging profile, while the heavy-duty counterweight enhances stability, particularly in more demanding ground conditions. Reinforced components, cylinder guards and anti-vandal features make it a resilient option for the rigours of hire and self-drive use.

Designed with Operators in Mind

Inside the cab, operators are greeted with a 5-inch digital display, Bluetooth radio, excellent visibility and a heated seat for year-round comfort. Safety is built in as standard with:

Hydraulically, the DX25Z-7 features high-efficiency, smooth-flow performance with selectable flow modes and optional quick coupler piping – perfect for switching between buckets, breakers or augers without hassle.

Alongside the launch of the DX25Z-7, Develon has upgraded its ever-popular DX27Z-7, a 2.8-tonne model that’s ideal for urban and infrastructure work.

This model now comes with:

Kubota V1505 Stage V diesel engine – 18.5kW at 2300 rpm
Reduced vibration and noise – Extending engine life and improving comfort
Repositioned radiator – Boosting interior cab climate and performance
Enlarged cab entry and glass door – Easier access and greater visibility

Inside the cab, the adjustable heated suspension seat, thumbwheel auxiliary controls and enhanced visibility make long shifts easier. A rear-view camera, around-view monitoring, overload warning system, and additional LED lighting provide extra peace of mind.
